This site looks ridiculously plain right now, especially for a web developer, and it will get spruced up ASAP! Right now I wanted to make some major changes to my blog and move it to blog.deryk.co.uk. It's now running under Google Blogger.
I wanted a quick and dirty holding page on my homepage until I decide what content to include for the rest of the site (for a while it's been just a blog and nothing else).
I haven't decided yet, whether to import my old articles or start from a clean slate. The joy of hindsight is that you look at your previous posts and cringe! We shall see....
Amaya is, so far, my web authoring tool of choice for the rest of the site. I'm a great believer in 'standards', and Amaya is written by the W3C themselves so it's pretty certain to produce valid code. At work I use Dreamweaver of course (which is also very good with standards) but for my own site it seems so far that Amaya is more than sufficient - and as a bonus it'll work on my Mac too. Best thing? It's free. Can't really go wrong, then!
